Women workers of the informal economy are the poorest and most exploited. Often women cannot work due to biological circumstances like pregnancy, maternity etc. They are exploited economically. While organizing women workers we have identified the areas wherein women face increased vulnerability and risks. Poor women need support to tackle this crisis. LMST is operational for providing RSBY to its members.
LMST organized Camps, Melas, Puppet Shows at brick kilns, Labour Adda, Labour Basti to aware its member about benefit of registering under welfare Board for Construction workers and assisted in registration process and facilitated benefits to them through networking with Labour department.
LMST facilitated opening of Primary school with the help of its trained leaders in the Umra village of Barabanki district, 120 children of nearby village are benefited. Literacy campaign was launched for women artisans of the area.

One of the objectives of LMST is to influence government policy in favour of women workers in the unorganized sector, as ignorance and lengthy legal procedures often deprive these women from deriving benefits from the existing and the prospective government schemes.
LMST has constituted Neighborhood Harmony committees in the community with the aim of promoting harmony among the communities and groups. LMST organizes social and cultural Programmes, Mushaira, wall writing, Debate, Competition, meeting with members, meeting with teachers and school children etc. Neighborhood Communal Harmony Committee.
